Game: Sim Day & Night

Rating: 9 out of 10
Genre: Simulation, Action
Author: Someone whose leazy...
Website: not available

Summary: Get a job, go to clubs, talk to people...oh, and also kidnap a mob boses daughter, shoot lackies, get chased, have sex, get in fights....

Critique: Oh snap this is cool! I mean, for a free badly designed simulation game, this is the shiznit. Its not like the Sims2, in that its not like real life, but you still have to work and guy new houses and suits and go to school and stuff. And you need to make a lot of decisions about how to approach people, and making the wrong one can get a lot taken from you. The end is a little tacky, but very theatrical with a good performance of characters.

Game: Devil Kid

Rating: 3 out of 10
Genre: Action, Arcade
Author: Unknown
Website: Not available

Summary: Go through heaven and hell and do as much damage as possible.

Critique: Cool for a game that is kind of bland in its ability to work properly. The controls are kind of weird, but its still fun to play with all the music and cool characters. Not else much to say except that.

Video: Torrettes Cat

Rating: 10 out of 1o
Genre: Comedy, Disturbing
Author: Unknown
Website: Not Available

Summary: A guy makes a video about his relationship with his cute little cats.

Critique: This video is so. fucking. funny. It is only funny if you know that this is only a joke this dude is playing, just being a spaz basically. He DOES NOT HURT THE CATS. When I first watched this--and to this day--I laughed so hard I was gasping for breath with tears in my eyes. The reason I found it so funny was because it reminded me a lot of me and how loud I yell and my profanities for no aparent reasons when I'm home alone. If you're into laughing at a guy yelling, this is the shit. If not, if you think this is just another Ford Sportka--which its NOT--then go run home back to mommy and don't watch it.

Flash: The Little Girl Who Was Forgotten

Rating: 10 out of 10
Genre: Gothic, Storytelling
Author: Katy Towell
Website: Skary.net
Extra: Buy the book! Click Here

Summary: Emmeline, a sweet little girl whose family had never paid her any attention and who the whole town scoffed at, is gifted by the heavens with the perfect friend. Little does little Emmeline know how far this new friend would go to please his master...

Critique: Better than When Genevieve Ruled The World, Katy Towell once again dazzles us with one of the most brilliant animations we could ever see. Like all of her 'childrin', the character is so cute she can make your eyes bleed (my favorite girl so far is in 'Candy'), and Emmeline in particular will make your heart throb as you share her pain. The audio was perfect and had that quaint charm that all old school British horror can master. Its like going on the haunted mansion again and again. Make some time for this one kiddies, its the perfect candidate for the Shoujo Horror genre.

Flash: The Labyrinth

Rating: 9 out of 10
Genre: Horror, Violence, Interactive
Author: Unknown
Website: No available

Summary: A maze throughout a werehouse filled with some of the most brutal intense scenes of violence and terror...outside of my bedroom.

Critique: This bitch is long. Really long. Though you do get up close and personal with photographs from REAL crime scenes and autopsys , it won't effect you if you've been jaded through years of nightly curiosity with rotten.com This house is exactly what I want in a dreamhome! And the sick part is I'm not even joking....Though I could do without the bodies, I can only imagine how much that shit must stink! Basically heres the downlow. The visuals where amazing and the audio was terrifyingly fantastic. Of course I haven't yet finished the whole thing, but I haven't been scared yet. I mean its creepy, but in that delicious psychotic late night fondling yourself to Saw type of way, not traditional scary. Not yet. The thing that pisses me off is that I seem to recognize a lot of the effects from old horror movies and the audio from clips that I've downloaded to use for my copyright for my videos lol but that aside this is a great flash for anyone who spent most of their pubesant years online on halloween.com, the haunted hotel, doombuggies and monstrous.com....everyone else can go fuck themselves.

Game: Fish Tales

Rating: 6 out of 10
Genre: Race, Arcade
Author: Unknown
Website: Not available

Summary: The life of a fish....within one frame of animation.

Critique: Holy crap this game is fun! That is of course for a pathetic arcade game, this is as addicting as Frogger (which come to think of it is pretty fuckin addicting) So even though there is very little to do except the same mind numbing thing over and over again, it really gets your blood pumping from the race to live and catch lives, while all the while trying to eat enough and grow so you can eat bigger fish. NOTE: This is a demo. The full version is free and totally awesome.

Game: The Waitress

Rating: 4 out of 10
Genre: Simulation
Author: Unknown
Website: Not available

Summary: Feed customers, keep them happy, and keep the restaurant clean.

Critique: This is a cool game--if you like playing sims, which I do. This kind of thing will probably be the third expansion pack for the Sims 2. But aside from being fun to kill time, this game has many down sides. The graphics are juvenille and using the same customers every time is seriously annoying...and that its the same game play no matter how many customers you help. Order, wait, cook, serve, start over again...This game could seriously be replaced by Coffee House Madness (I think thats the game title...its for pc) so unless you wanna kill a little bored time, I don't reccommend playing this boring piece of networking.

Podcast: The Coffin

Rating: 4 out of 10
Genre: Horror, Suspense, Indie
Author: Boo!
Website: Clishamville Entertainment!

Summary: Construction workers discover a large crate which holds a terrible secret that would soon destroy them all.

Critique: A pathetic attempt at bringing Boo! back....the old issues were fun because they were short, obvious for-fun NO budjet film. This one was just plain long and annoying and confusing. And like most of Boo!'s vidcasts the audio was messed up. I did however like the black and white thing and the look of a cold mountain town, makes me wanna move even more....And the plot was in noway easy to find, the creature was so lame my eyes bled, and the obvious Ring rip-off kinda pissed me off. But I suppose the audience--I think its only me watching them--wanting more is a sign that I admire them. C'mon you dorky american horror wannabes! Give me something good!

Flash: Princess Hears A Strange Noise

Rating: 7 out of 10
Genre: Comedy, Gross out
Author: Matt Stone and Trey Parker
Website: Not available

Summary: An odd noise wakes Princess out of a deep sleep, which leads up to the lady of the households brains all over the bedroom walls...

Critique: Um.....okay ew. This was definatly not a work safe video I'll tell you that. But I give it points for Matt and Trey's once again stunning performance of brutal honesty mixed with excessive weirdness and gross flavor, hiding behind adorable family imagery. I perfer South Park of course, but this was before South Park, so if you're a fan of Matt and Trey's work this is a must watch.

Podcast: Home Movie

Rating: 5 out of 10
Genre: Horror, Suspense
Author: Boo!
Website: Clishamville Entertainment

Summary: A man films his last actions while alone in his house--well, not completely alone...

Critique: This video was awesome. Up until the creature scene, that is, it rocked. The creature was totally the stupidest creature ever....but for a short scary film this was good.

Podcast: The Dance

Rating: 8 out of 10
Genre: Comedy
Author: Amanda Congdon
Website: Rocketboom!

Summary: Amanda shares some of the joys of Europe...

Critique: For Acid Break! lurkers, you know how much I LOVE Amanda Congdon. And although I haven't watched all of her films just yet....bandwith issues....I do supply my days with a little Rocketboom before work or school. When it comes to random info about tech, politics, websites, videos, etc. Congdon is indeed the way to go. So this cast was just something that made me lol a bit more than usual, and I thought I'd post it in BP. Just a warning though, though this video is just random rocketboom with no real plot, if you start watching the show and aren't a computer junkie, you won't know a damn thing shes talking about....But if you are a techno monkey you'll really enjoy catching on!

Video: The Albino Blacksheep Video

Rating: 6 out of 10
Genre: Comedy
Author: Fredryk Phox
Website: Fredryk's Page

Summary: All things Phox.

Critique: Good editing, thats for sure. You get a good dose of Fred and what he's all about, so its entertaining....but all around its not really the best he's ever done. Like I said, it was very well put together for a basement film, and Phox as we all know has his own charm that makes anything he's in good. Personally I prefer 'Drunks' or 'In Digital' but this is still an okay film if you're bored....

Flash: Kenya

Rating: 7 out of 10
Genre: Music video, Cute
Author: Weebls n Bob
Website: Weebls Stuff!

Summary: What have they got only in Kenya?

Critique: Who hasn't heard of the lions and tigers only in Kenya? This one is a cult classic. Its been remade even into a live action piece of shit, but still it shows its popularity. The toon is so catchy you'll be singing it all day! The visuals are a bit low, but thats just how Weebls rolls...this is cute, and you gotta watch it for its popularity reasons.

Game: Crimson Room

Rating: 5 out of 10
Genre: Suspense, Puzzle
Author: Toshimitsu Takagi
Website: Takagism

Summary: Quest to get out of a room--a room that just happens to be 'crimson'.

Critique: I don't see why the guy had to go to all this trouble just to get out of a little room. Why doesn't he just kick the door down like any smart person? *sigh* Though this game was a little stupid, it was pretty creepy, with good sound effects and hard as hell to figure out what to do next! Then again I was never very good at puzzles...I'm currently on the sequel, Viridian Room, and after that White Room. These are quite annoying, but in the long run they're very creative and original.

Flash: Origins

Rating: 10 out of 10
Genre: Documentary, Spooky
Author: JK Cinema
Website: Urbans Legends Series

Summary: Explaining how different objects and places got the way they are...

Critique: Can I get a 'Hellz yeah!"? The JK Cinema crew is awesome, and it was hard to choose which one to feature, but this one was the most fun to watch. The music and visuals are very enjoyable to experience, so anybody with a lust for urban legends and creepy voices will love this!

Flash: When Genevieve Ruled The World

Rating: 7 out of 10
Genre: Gothic, Life Lessons
Author: Katy Towell
Website: Skary.net

Summary: A 'privileged' little ruch girl who had all the toys in the world wants more to play with...

Critique: This is a beautifully dark story--kinda long though and the artwork itself is subduded--with a lovely victorian edge and a little girl who has become an instant cult character I believe...or she should anyway lol It was a little corny at times, but all around it was a gorgeous piece of work.

Flash: Kikia

Rating: 10 out of 10
Genre: Prank Flash, Asian
Author: Netspooky (?)
Website: SCREAM!

Summary: A beautiful day, a little boy, sweet music, and a warm feeling inside...

Critique: The rating is for the sheer greatness of this flash. It was the very first prank flash ever made, and it was good to boot. Still scary even now! Its kinda like the Richard Pryor of def jam and black comedy. It also got me interested in Fatal Frame. You gotta watch this flash just for the purpose that its the grand daddy of prank flashes...

Flash: Whats Wrong?

Rating: 9 out of 10
Genre: Prank Flash
Author: Unknown

Summary: There are eight things wrong with this picture. Can you find them out?

Critique: One of the best prank flashes I've seen so far, basically because it was one of the first I've seen, and the face that pops up and the scream were very good and startling.

Flash: Everyone Else Has Had More Sex Than Me

Genre: Music Video, Comedy, Cute
Author: Unknown

Summary: A poor virginal rabbit sings a little song about his hardship.

Critique: Hells yeah! When I first watched this I couldn't stop laughing. I mean its not that funny in slapstick ways, but its a very well made animation thats also very clever and original. The song is catchy as hell too.

Video: Rubber Johnny

Rating: 6 out of 10
Genre: Sci-fi, Creepy, Music Video
Author: Chris Cunnigham
website: Rubber Johnny's Official Site

Summary: Teenage mutant gets some screen time.

Critique: Um....this is alright. I'm curious as to how mister Cunnigham created little Johnny, looks like a child with a lot of make-up. This video is weird to say the least, but its not scary. The visuals are nice and creepy, the cellar and all that. Basically the whole thing looked like another Tool music video.

Rating: 10 out of 10
Genre: Music video, comedy
Author: Rob Manuel/Doghorse
Website: "the stuff I've made..."

Summary: A puppet and japanese influenced teddy bears sing about love and family values...

Flash: The Parity

Rating: 8 out of 10
Genre: Terror/Suspense, Asian
Author: Unknown
Website: Not Available

Summary: A young woman watching tv comes across a strange video of a girl curled in a ball on the floor (the door covering her face) twitching and a pair of legs walking by. Its on every channel. Starting to become frightened, the woman soon realizes the similarities between the room on the television and her own room...

Critique: This animation was the main reason I created this blog. Who its by is unknown apparently, but I can say without a doubt this has got to be one of the best flash animations ever. I know, its a bold statement, but I say it in terms of how its edited, directed, and...well....its scary! The fluid motion of the animation is spectacular! It flows together like a Zero 7 music video. The suspense was also very good which is surprisingUnfortunatly it does have the draw back of the currently popular japanese walking dead squid-like and magic girl who walks creepy. But besides that this is a fabulous flash that I can't stop watching ^^'
